Cinnamon Caramel Rolls
I made a special treat for breakfast today. Starting last night. :)
Home made caramel rolls. I was just going to make regular cinnamon rolls and make some home made frosting but decided to make them caramely instead. Yummmmm. They were dee-lish!
First you have to make the dough.
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 Tbsp salt
1/2 Tbsp Yeast
2 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
Inside-
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
Mix together and let raise for 2 hours. Roll out on counter top to be approximately 1 foot tall by 2 feet wide. Melt 2 Tbsp butter and spread over the inside with a pastry brush. Sprinkle a cinnamon and white sugar mixture, and then add a sprinkle of brown sugar over that. Roll up the long way, and spread it out a little longer. Cut into 1 1/2 inch sections. In a 9x13 pan, melt 1 stick of butter and pour over the bottom of the pan. Top the butter with 3/4 cup of brown sugar or until the butter and the bottom of the pan is coated with brown sugar. Place your cut rolls into the pan. Let raise over night, with a towel covering the pan so they don't dry out. Bake in the morning t 350 for 30-35 minutes.
In the pan right after cutting them up.
After they were done baking.
Then flip them over onto some tinfoil(for easier cleanup) and wha-la!
Wonderful made from scratch caramel rolls! Enjoy.

Did you weigh yourself before you started on this cooking frenzy? It all looks and sounds so good. When you come down for Addy's birthday you can't bring a bunch of sweets. Melissa and I are working hard to cut back. ;-)
