Orange Sesame Chicken

I tried a homemade version of Orange Chicken not that long ago.  And it was a winner.  But I stumbled across this new one.  Similar yet different enough that it was worth trying.  I like the idea better because you are not completely frying in oil.  Seems healthier anyway. :)  And always a winner when it is easier, and quicker!

So here goes.

 Orange Sesame Chicken

 4-6 chicken breasts
1/2 cup flour
1/8 tsp salt
2 Tbsp olive oil

Sauce: 1/2 cup fresh orange juice (2 oranges, or use simply orange :)
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tbsp vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp orange zest
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Pour 1/2 cup flour into a medium sized bowl, and sprinkle in the salt.  Toss together with a fork.  Cut your chicken into large chunks and dip them into the flour, making sure all sides are coated.  Heat a large skillet up over medium-high heat.  Once the pan is hot, pour in your 2-3 Tbsp olive oil.  Once the oil is hot place your coated chicken in the pan.  Let the chicken get nice and golden brown on both sides.
While the chicken is cooking, zest your orange.  In a small bowl, combine the rest of your sauce ingredients with your zest.  Mix well, until all the cornstarch is well blended in.
Once your chicken is golden on both sides, pour over the sauce and bring to a simmer.  Cover and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Then Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Serve over rice.
This time I used brown rice.  That was so yummy.  Never making white rice again! :)
