Sloppy Jo's

Since we have been married I have tried many different sloppy jo recipes. And I hadn’t quite found one that I really enjoyed. Then when we moved up here we had a bible study supper thingy for church and some of the people there made sloppy jo meat. It was the best sloppy jos I’d had out of the recipes I’ve tried.

It is Bear’s favorite food now, too. I do get some compliments on my sloppy jos now when I serve them for other people. They are more of a sweeter taste than some of your other recipes. That’s probably what I like about it. Anyway, give it a try and let me know that you think. We had them for lunch today, along with freshly cut pineapple. Once you have fresh pineapple, you just can't go back to the canned stuff! No comparison! :)

Sloppy Jo’s
2 lbs hamburger
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp mustard
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsp minced onion

Can place in a crock pot on low, or cook meat on stove and mix all ingredient in pan, simmer for 15 minutes.

Today we didn’t have buns so we’re eating them old school. (on bread) :)

I definitely agree.....sloppy joes are a big hit or a big dud. They're kinda like meatloaf. Everybody makes them differently, and they're kinda risky ;)
THIS recipe, however looks great! I'm mostly a ketchup & mustard kind of girl myself, but I love garlic!
