Music Makers

In talking with different types of instruments, we made our own instrument.

First we colored different types of instruments, string, wind, brass and percussion.

Then we made a percussion instrument. :)

Start with a toilet paper insert.  Put paper on the bottom, fill with popcorn kernels, or noodles or something that will make noise!  Put paper on the top.  Tape it up with packing tape to make it more sturdy.

Then we cut a piece of paper to fit as a wrap around.  Wrote the word music and colored it.  Wrap around and again, put more packing top over it to make it last longer.

Monkey did a good job drawing his music notes! :)
