Last night we were at a friends house for supper. They made chicken and ribs on the grill. It was very tasty. We like to grill things but we are very simple grillers usually. We tend to lean towards hamburgers, pork chops, brats, kabobs, potatoes....things like that. We really need to branch out in this area. Last night was our motivation apparently.
We got a free 25lb bag of bone in chicken. So after last night, I was wanting to try something out of the norm for us. So we used this chicken, got some Famous Dave's Rich & Sassy barbeque sauce and tried something new. And by new I mean, different than the usual griller meat for us. :)
First I had to take all the skin and fat off the chicken. Then We grilled it for about 30 minutes flipping it every 5 minutes. After we checked the temperature with the food thermometer to make sure the chicken was cooked through, we put some sauce on it and glazed it on top.
Then I like to have more sauce on the side to dip the chicken into while eating. We also had cucumber's along with this meal. Great side dish for grilled food. :)
Yummy!
