French Toast

This is another one of those easy recipes, but I still have it in my cookbook because it's also easy to forget about!

This is usually known as a breakfast meal, but we have it for supper more than we have it for breakfast. I think the only time we have this for breakfast is when we are camping.

French Toast
6 eggs
1/2 cup milk
cinnamon
bread

I use a pie plate for the eggs because it makes it easier to quickly dip the bread in. This is what my mom always did, so this is what I do. :)

Then whisk the eggs, add the milk and cinnamon. After a few dips of some bread I usually add some more cinnamon. Otherwise it seams to push to the edges and not every piece of bread gets cinnamon on it then.

Next quick put the bread in so one side gets wet with egg. Then before it sits there for even a second, flip it over and do the same on the other side.

Then cook them on the griddle. Until nice and golden on both sides.

Enjoy!

After half the loaf I usually start running out of egg mix, so I put a few more eggs and a little more milk in there so I can keep going with the end of the loaf of bread. This is what we had tonight.

Do you think my family of 4 ate them all?

Yes we did. No left overs. The boys each had 5 pieces. Yes, my 3yr old and 6 yr old each had 5 pieces of french toast. They super-duper love it! They like to have some regular, and some with peanut butter and syrup on them. I like it with peanut butter too. :)

First, love the new picture of your family!!
Second, love French Toast too! I make it for myself & the girls for breakfast sometimes, but rarely use an actual recipe. More like 2 eggs, a splash of milk & a little bit of vanilla...haha! French Toast is super good when you use real french bread too...that's our breakfast plan for tomorrow (Sat) morning!! Mmm...

Thanks Randi!
I don't always use a recipe for some of these things that I make, but if I'm going to share it I have to make up some measurements. :) We've always done cinnamon instead of vanilla. Maybe I should try that next time.

It also works really great to mix up your ingredients in the Tupperware QuickShake and then pour it into something to dip the bread in.
