Kitchen Tips v2

Today I have a possibly helpful kitchen tip to share.

Every time you fry hamburger you have grease. So what do you do with that grease?

1. Some people dump it down the drain which you are not supposed to do, especially down a garbage disposal.
2.Some people dump it in the toilet.
3.Some people collect it in a jar and keep it in the fridge until that jar is full and then throw it out.
4. Some people just put it in some kind of container that has a lid so they can throw it away.

I have a semi-different solution.

I decided to use a pasta bowl/pie plate type of dish.

Put tinfoil over and then the strainer.

Then strain the grease from your hamburger, or sausage in my case today. Then I wash the strainer and the grease is left in my tinfoil. I let it sit out or you can put it in the frig to get it to harden faster. Then only 1 hour later, you can bunch the tinfoil ball up and throw it away. You don't have to have it always sitting in your frig or on the counter, or dump it where it shouldn't go.

Just thought someone might benefit from this helpful tip. Let me know if you do! :)

Good idea! I might have to try that! I put mine in a glass jar and when it is full I throw it away but it is such a mess sometimes! Thanks!:)
