Children's Theater

We went to a Children's Theater for the first time ever!  As a family.  I was glad TJ could go to the first one with us.  It just happened to be on his every other Friday off.

It was Dr. Seuss' 500 hats of Bartholomew Cubbins.

Have you ever read the book?  I had never even heard of it, so I had no idea what to expect.
But let me tell you.  It was GREAT!  I couldn't believe how wonderful of a job they did putting everything together.  Even the actors and actresses.  Those kids up there were so great it made me want to cry. :)  I wish I could act like that.

I've recently been reading a series of books by Karen Kingsbury.  And in them some characters went to New York to try out for a Broadway show.  When they were there they commented on how steep of an angle the Broadway show stages are.  So just having that fresh in my mind, I noticed how this stage was also at an angle.  That's got to be tricky to learn to run, walk, dance around on all while singing, or talking and remember what you're supposed to do next without falling or sliding and letting the slant take you down. :)  Just a fun fact in case you are not aware as I was.

We couldn't take pictures of the show due to copyright laws, but they had a Dr. Seuss looking tree in the entryway, and I took a picture of us waiting for the show to start.  So you can see that. :)
