Sesame Steak & Sugar Snap Peas

Marinade:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
4 garlic cloves
2 tsp corn starch
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes

3 strip steaks (10-12 ounces each), sliced thin across the grain
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 pound sugar snap peas
2 tsp sesame seeds
Salt & Pepper

Mix together the marinade ingredients.  Slice steak and let marinade for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan, add half of the steak, and cook until brown 3-5 minutes.  Remove with a slotted spoon to keep the juices in the pan.  Add the other half of the steak to cook.  Again remove leaving the juices.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds and mix slightly.  Then cover to keep warm while you cook the peas. Next add the peapods to the already hot pan with remaining juices.  Cook 2-4 minutes until tender.

This was good.  But I think it could be even better.

**So here's what I'm going to do next time.  Since this has that Asian flare, next time I am going to let the steak marinade over night.  Then use broccoli instead of peapods, and serve over rice.  Give it a try yourself, and let me know how it turns out for you!

TJ gave this a 7 1/2 out of 10.
