Letter H

Having fun with the Letter H!

Letter H Memory Verse
"Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise." Ephesians 6:2
(I put this inside the file folder)  Download them all here

A-Z Collage Sheets.  Download here.
I did both the capital and lowercase file.
Plus printed the whole alphabet 2 up on a page to conserve.
We put "Hay" on our letter H!
Cutting Practice.  Download the file here.
I think he's getting better at cutting!  This is great improvement from the first one he did.
 Hippo Number cards.
Download the file here.
Use these in 3 different ways.  First you can just put them in numerical order.  Then I have larger clothes pins that I have written numbers on, so they use those to match the number.  And then I bought some smaller clothes pins and that one he puts that many pins on the number card.

Letter H Scavenger Hunt.  Download the file here.
We did this twice because I forgot to take a picture the first time.  We found a hat, helicopter, hangar, horse, hippo, hair brush, highlighter, hershey kiss, and a heart.

Letter Match.  Download the file here.
Only print the letters once and use the same letters for each time you do this activity.
Laminate to ensure durability.

Hippo pattern match.  Download the file here.

Hippo Coloring page. Download the file here.
He also enjoyed tracing the hippos on the back. :)

Alphabet Sorting.  Download the printable file here.

I put them in a sheet protector so he can use the same sheet every day of the week!
I put this in a sheet protector so he could do this over again throughout the week.

Hippo Puppet.  Download the file here.
We cut his face in half to be able to make him into a puppet.

Hippo Magnet page. Download the file here
We used our homemade pompom magnets for these.

Letter H Puzzle.  Download it here. (I used the A-Z large floor mats as puzzles) This way it doesn't have the lines already in the file and you can cut it however you want.  I wanted to do atleast 8 pieces.  I might change it up to more or different shapes or something for a later puzzle...we will see!

Hippo Color match.  Download the file here
I printed this 2 up on a page to be smaller.  Then laminated.  I kept the color names together, and only cut apart the color hippos.  Match the hippo to the color word.

Hippo Size Sort.  Download the file here.

Make the letter H with other items.
We had this large egg crate bottom, and he took the popsicle sticks and was making shapes out of it.  So I asked him if he could make an E with it!  Awesome new activity to add to our letter of the week!

We used the H that we already had printed, which we put our hay on.
I got these wooden blocks from hobby lobby, and had him place them on the letter shape.
Just another way to have fun while learning how to shape the letter H!
After doing this all week, I had him do it the last day with out the paper underneath.

Read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom every day.  And at the end of the week put the letter H on your coconut tree!  I used the A-Z Collage Sheets.  Download here.  And I put them 4 up on a
page so the letter would be small enough for them all to fit on our little coconut tree.

Don't forget about the

I made this file myself because I wanted all the letters in one file.
Download my A-Z poke it letter file here.  Take a thumb tack and poke the letter H.
Practice with forming the letter H.  Make sure to do this while on the carpeted floor. :)
I forgot to take pictures of these ones for the letter H.
