For Louie's sake, I'll update you a little on the gang activity. We haven't seen anymore people peeing by the side of the road, but we did find some tennis shoes tied together and hanging from an electrical line yesterday. And the underpass down the road from our house has some letters spray painted on the cement. Someone even spraypainted something on a stop sign. Where is it going to end? I can't believe it. I think we need to alert the authorities. Maybe next week I'll post some pictures of the gang activity we come upon. Then you can see for yourself the severity of the problem.

I am going to count how many consectutive days I see someone taking a leak or worse out in public. I started Saturday, so I am up to 3 days. Counting will stop when we leave for the United States on August 9 and resume when we return on Sept. 7. I also wanted to tell TJ that his blog is the most intertaining thing that has happened since coming to South Africa.
When I was a kid back on the farm in Carroll, we would be inside the house, and feel the urge to purge, and we'd actually go outside for that, because it was so much easier than having to wipe the seat when you were done.
Nowadays, they frown on that in Ankeny, even though I live in Redneck Ankeny, not the nice new sections. I need to put up a privacy fence so no one can see what I'm doing in my yard.
When I was in high school we had some people in our church that had an electric fence. My brother Bill decided he wanted to see what would happen if he peed on it. Well needless to say.....I got a good laugh out of it. He wasn't laughing tho.. he did some dancing around. What did I learn from this? Make sure that if someone is going to pee on an electric fence you should at least be there cause its hilarious!!
