Here's a fun little experiment for you all!
First a cup of warm water, not hot. :) 1 Tbsp of yeast and 1 tsp of sugar.
The boys thought this was cool in itself that the yeast made the sugar float. :)
Stir it up!

Then pour it in a bottle neck glass. (I had to go to starbucks and buy an Izze drink just for this experiment, oh pity. lol)
Put a balloon over the bottle and wait a little bit to watch the magic!

You see, the yeast uses the sugar as food, and this produces carbon dioxide. You can't see it, but it's what makes bread rise. And in this case it is making the balloon rise and fill with carbon dioxide.
