Kitchen Tip v23

Kitchen Tip-Thawing meat.

Did you forget to take that meat out of the freezer in time to thaw it?

Here's my tip.

If it's sausage, or hamburger, I put it in a ziploc baggie them turn on the hot water from the tap and fill a bowl or the sink.  Let it sit in that for 10 minutes, then empty the water and put in new hot water.  If it's chicken breasts, no need to baggie.  Use a bowl, put the chicken in and pour the hot water from the tap directly onto the chicken in the bowl.  10 minutes later, again empty water from bowl, and put in new, hot water.

Now your meat is thawed safely, and ready to cook.
