hi

Stephanie has been sleeping at her friend's house for the last 2 nights. I had to work Saturday night and she had choir practice for the cantata so she just stayed at Keith and Amy's house in Faribault on Saturday. Then she stayed there all day on Sunday and decided to spend the night again last night. I don't know if they had any pillow fights. I think they played a lot of "Truth or Dare." There was a bigger version of that game that I called "Truth, Dare, Double-Dare, Promise OR Repeat." Stephanie called it "Truth, Dare, Double-Dare, Promise TO Repeat." So is it Promise Or Repeat or Promise TO Repeat?

I disagree, I think it is promise TO repeat. That's what we always said.

See, I think that's another instance where Minnesotans use a different language and now it's causing family trouble.

On a related note:
The combination "ough" can be pronounced in nine different ways. The following sentence contains them all: "A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful plough man strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a slough, he coughed and hiccoughed."

It is actually pronounced only one way in Minnesota. "Oh" as in "boat".

Thanks for your help everyone. You have all been so helpful. Yet, it hasn't solved a thing.

My wife seems to be a little crazy. I don't think she knows what she's talking about. :)
