I didn't have a trifle bowl so I used my cake dish/punch bowl. Check it out!
18 whole graham crackers
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 container coolwhip
1 pkg. banana cream or vanilla pudding
1 cup milk
1 lemon
4 large bananas
1. Finely chop 4-5 of the graham crackers. Crumble the rest of the crackers and set aside.
2. Place chocolate chips and 1 1/2 cups of the cool whip into a small bowl. Microwave on high for 15 seconds at a time stirring each time until melted and smooth.
3. Combine pudding mix, 1 cup of milk in a bowl. Stir until thick. Fold in the rest of the coolwhip and set aside.
4. Juice the lemon and put in a small bowl. Peel bananas and slice the banana. Toss the bananas in the lemon juice to keep from turning brown. (You can skip this part if you are going to eat it shortly. If preparing it sooner be sure to use this to keep it looking fresh.)
5. Assemble your dish!
half of the crumbled graham crackers
Half of the bananas
1/3 of the chocolate mixture
half of the pudding mixture
Then repeat! Top with the finely chopped graham cracker crumbs, a few bananas for garnish, and decorate with a little purposely left over chocolate mixture. (I used the baggie trick for this. Click here to learn more about the baggie trick!)
